The rotating unit consists of a Ø 140 mm tubular column with three Ø 40 mm U-shaped blocking elements made of AISI 304 stainless steel tubing. The locking, drive and tooth clutch are built into the tubular column. The lateral barriers are made of Ø 48 mm AISI 304 stainless steel tubing in a mitre joint. To improve personal safety, standards and guidelines relating to points where body parts could get pinched or squashed have been taken into account in the development of the turnstile (Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC).

Since the drive and locking are mechanically separated, low energy drives can be used to provide personal protection. On the other hand, high locking forces can be used to prevent unauthorised passage through the unit. Parameters can be set for unit behaviour and each specific customer (e.g. starting behaviour and passage speed).
Personal security through patented end point locking:
Following a release, the turnstile can be stopped and rotated back at any time up to half way through the rotary motion. This prevents jamming of body parts and carried objects. Once the turnstile has completed half of its rotary motion, the unit can only be exited in the released direction.

The control system is in the external control box H = 283 mm / W = 168 mm / D = 115 mm. The units are can be networked to one another.
